Local 'sustainable' Web site features DB&T
As the first business in Dubuque to join the Petal Project, DB&T is the featured “Greenlight Business” on the pilot program's Web site that just went live.
The Petal Project, developed by the East Central Intergovernmental Association (ECIA) and Prosperity Eastern Iowa, works to build on existing sustainability initiatives by local businesses.
As you explore the site, you’ll meet DB&T’s “Green Team” and discover the impact of DB&T’ current sustainability efforts, including the company-wide switch from paper to electronic faxing. That decision alone did away with 174 fax machines and is saving trees, time and money.
"We are very excited to have a large, well-known business in the area as a pilot for the Petal Project," said Candace Eudaley, regional economic development and sustainability coordinator for ECIA.
At DB&T we know that our sustainable efforts today will help ensure 'great things happen' for our community tomorrow.
